My fiance and I will be coming to AC in May (as husband and wife =) ) And we are wondering about getting around the island. While looking at destinations in Mexico we were looking forward to renting scooters to get around, but I don't see any scooter rental places listed for AC. Are there any mopeds or anything like that? How about the golf carts? How much do they cost for a day? How long do they run for? Can you keep them overnight, or do you turn them in? How much are bicycles? How much does it cost to rent a kayak? If we stay up on the north end, can we kayak back and forth to town? How much are those water taxis? We'll probably also do a lot of walking around, but we wanted the scoop on the most economical transportation. Thanks bunches! Can't wait to get there!

I guess it depends on where you are staying.....I personally wouldn't be without a golf cart, because I like to just ride around & see things....Last year we paid about $250 fora week...When the battery gets low, take the cart & get a fully charged one....Last year we went through 5 or 6 carts.....Enjoy yourself.....John
