I tried to respond to the reconstruction topic, I am not good on the computer. Could you please advise on the practicality of one person(female) to go down for just a few days, will this be a help for me to bring in supplies tarps, food batteries, I can only make it over the weekend. Need help deciding if this is usefull or wise, need to make travel plans asap.

My recommendation would be that the best contribution you could make would be to send money quickly so that the committees who are organizing relief can purchase more and bring it in bulk.
I think that ad hoc people coming down for a few days "to help" will be more of a burden to the town than a help, despite the best of intentions. There are limited facilities to transport and houseo people, and those need to be used to accommodate residents needing to come and go and for military, health care and infrastructure repair technicians.
Best to coordinate supply efforts with those setting it and send money.
