after 20 years of hard work and stress i'm taking a well deserved, extended break. I have been to AC and Placencia for short trips and am coming for 6-10 months this time. Anyone have suggestions on long term rentals for around $500 a month?

Two suggestions:
1. Ask someone down there to fax you the classified section of the San Pedro Sun that has property listings.
2. You might want to contact Mary Hawthorne Most of the properties she manages are high end houses north of the river, but I think she also has a few less expensive apartments (or at least she used to...) She has a page on this site.
