Has anyone stayed in AC & visited the casino in Belize City? How do-able is it at night? Any shared experiences would be appreciated. Also, planning to stay at Rubies, but welcome recommendations of other moderately priced lodgings on the beach.
Any comments about Rubies before we book?
As we don't dive, what "cultural" type of activities may be done from San Pedro?
Staying from 2/12-19.

Yes, stayed at Grant Residence Bed & Breakfast in Belize City and visited the casino. Grant Res. is on the waterfront, just 2 blocks from the casino - easy walk. Hosts at Grant Res. are excellent - great house. E-mail: Slots, blackjack, roulette and other games at casino. Good luck!

But why would you do that? There is a casino in San Pedro and didn't I hear that there was a second casino opening or just opened?

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

The casino at the Princess Hotel is by far the biggest and best in Belize, but it's not really possible to pop over for evening, because there are no scheduled flights or water taxis back and forth in the evening. You could go over and play in the afternoon, though, or spend the night.
