if it gets wet, take it off or just wait on a pier till it passes...believe me it will dry in about 5 minutes

The weather forecast for Belize City is mostly useless for forecasting the weather on Ambergris Caye. You shall see soon enough.

I was there and I wish I would have brought a jacket. Some nights there it was downright cold. Ended up buying a jacket when I was there. frown

The US cold fronts have been going through Belize this year regularly. Weather forecast for Belize City is pretty close to the island reality during this time of year - but the forecasters can still miss it for both places, of course. Recommend you take clothes for cool and wet if the forecast is for this latest US cold front to go south through the Gulf of Mexico. Cold fronts are leeward winds for San Pedro and the reef so snorkeling, fishing, etc. can still be fun. Happy trip - it will be fun...

Was there over the holidays and it rained most the time. Most I've ever seen it but we just made the best of it and we had a great time. I would suggest though taking some sort of light jacket, especially if you plan on taking a tour in a boat to the mainland. Even during great weather it can get a bit chilly out there coming back. Even though it was a bit chilly I still wore mostly shorts/swimsuit the whole time. A couple evenings I did wish I had brought a pair of jeans and a light sweatshirt. Have a great time.

I try to remember to take an umbrella. If not for the rain for the shade it provides
