SUDDEN DEATH REPORTED AT SEA
A sudden death was reported at sea on Wednesday. The incident happened at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve around 2:30 in the afternoon. Tour guide, Allen Forman reported to police that he saw 53 year old US Citizen, Arthur Pedison, experiencing difficulties while snorkeling along with a group. Pederson was retrieved from the water and taken to the San Pedro Clinic where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body now awaits a post mortem examination at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City.

Hi guys,
I already knew about this incident, as Mr. Pedison was our guest at Caribe Island. Our entire staff was greatly saddened to learn of his death.
John (our Asst Manager) travelled to Belize City yesterday to assist his travelling partner in making arrangements.
Our sympathies go out to his wife and family.

Oh Vicki!!!! What a terrible thing to have happen. So sad. My sympathies to his family as well, and I know you and your staff have done everything possible to ease the shock of his traveling companion.

What a tragic thing, sympathies to the family. This happened to a person we knew last year in Bonaire. A point to bring up about this, make sure your travel/dive insurance covers reparation of remains back to your home country. Their insurance did not, so to add to the tragic loss, the wife had to cover the huge expense of a charter on her own.
