Hi Ya'all;
Well we are home, safe and sound after a wonderful time in San Pedro. The time we spent in Belize was spectacular, the beginning and ends of our trip were disgusting.

It started with the alarm (set for 2:00 AM) not going off and waking up at 3:20 AM, a mad rush with no breakfast, to the airport (a 1hr.& 20 min. trip in 50 minutes) then rush through check-in, customs etc. We just made it in time and I never thought that airline coffee could taste so good. The rest of the trip to San Pedro was uneventful and our stay was wonderful.
That part of the report will come later after I have time to decompress from the journey home.
The return trip started very nicely with the flight from S. P. to Belize Int. then a nice surprise, as we got bumped up to 1st class for the trip to Miami. Then the fun began,

we sat on the runway in Miami for an hour waiting for our 4 hour flight to takeoff. Once in the air the captain reported the weather in Montreal to be slightly cloudy and 0' Celsius. About 45 minutes before our scheduled landing which was now to be midnight, the captain announces "we will have to circle the airport for about 35 minutes while they clear the snow from a runway". An unexpected storm was dumping more than a foot of snow on the area.
Our drive home in the blowing storm took over two hours and we arrived home about 3:30 AM safe but exhausted. Sunday afternoon was spent clearing 2 feet of snow from the driveway. (Welcome to Canada!)
We wish we wuz still in Belize;
Dan'l & the Boop
