My fiance and I are both smokers - I know we're bad frown I was just wondering - what kinds of cigarettes do they have on AC?? And what do they cost? We're coming for our honeymoon in September and I'm wondering if we should just bring our own.

Local cigs are pretty cheap, but they are harsh. I'd bring my own, pick them up at duty free on your way down.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Is there a duty free @ the airport? Customs allows one carton of cigs. Is the duty free post customs or pre?

why not roll your own?

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

You typically buy duty free goods at your departure airport, not when you arrive in Belize, or any other foreign airport, unless you're in transit to yet another country. You need to show an international ticket to be able to make duty free purchases (as in you are taking them out of the country). Thus, it is advisable to declare items over allowable limit because if you're selected for inspection in Belize, customs will see what you bought...and assess duties as well as possible fines for lying on your customs declaration! When you depart Belize, you will have duty free opportunities for items you want to bring home.

Have not been in the airport there yet, but this is the way it usually works. When you arrive in an airport in another country, there are usually significant controls to insure you head for immigration, luggage carousel then customs - without side trips to shop.

Been considering the roll your own thing but just have little talent for it. Maybe a machine would help.

Previous poster correct, you cannot buy duty free in BZE and take them with you on entry, only on way out. It's that way everywhere.

Island Super Market has some American brands, just ask the cashier. They are not out on display.

Wow Evening - thanks for the great information! I guess we will grab smokes at the duty free shop when we leave Edmonton. And we'll be sure to declare EVERYTHING!
