Thanks, everyone! I think we'll book it. It sounds great. I love walking, so 20 minutes won't bother me at all, esp. if we're walking on the beach in San Pedro!

We were just there last week and really enjoyed our time. Had one of the suites. As someone else mentioned, they are a little on the small side, but we never really made use of the kitchen - except for the frig and the microwave.

Staff is great. The beach is quite a bit smaller than the picture on their web site and brochure. They took it before they put in the pool and some more suites, filling up much of the area in front of the bar.

As for the 20 minutes to town - it's a bit of an exaggeration. 20 minutes will probably get you to the very edge of town unless you walk slowly. Might take you another 5-10 minutes depending on where you are going.

The continental breakfast is pretty minimal. If you are into things like breakfast tacos, there's a local place on the road, just past Banyan Bay.

And the little hole in the wall store across from Banana Bay has great prices. Very convenient for bellikens, water and little stuff.
