Just about an hour and a half ago Chris from island internet called me and said "are you insured"because I see fire by your buildings.
The fire engines were called and they put out a fairly large bush fire which was actually fairly close to my hostel.
It is actually still simmering and the fire engines are going back to douse the land.
All in all a big hand for the fire dept.

Thankfully saved. Good Job everyone involved.

We had a great time visiting earlier this month, just wished we had taken a little more time to come by the cafe and visit with you. Glad to see you weren't banned for too long.

Actually the fire brigade was just about at the scene by the time I called Pedro. So, I am no hero, merely another interested bystander. It was fun listening to Pedro flap on the phone, though!

I agree with Chris, it was always fun listening to Pedro flap, either on the phone or in person. You cannot take away something from someone that they do oh so well.

Chris, you are still a hero!!!! You did make Pedro an nervous wreck, so that is hero in my book. Not many could do that.
