Continental Airlines Provides Extra Seats From
Belize City in Wake Of Hurricane Keith

BELIZE CITY, Belize, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - news and CAL.A - news) will operate a
DC-10 aircraft on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, between Houston and Belize City, offering an additional 118 seats each way to
customers affected by Hurricane Keith.

The carrier normally operates the route using a Boeing 737-300, equipped with 12 first class seats and 112 economy seats.
The DC-10 seats 38 in BusinessFirst and 204 in economy.

Flight 1233 departs Houston at 12:02 p.m., arriving in Belize City at 1:28 p.m. Return flight 1234 departs Belize City at 2:19
p.m., arriving in Houston at 5:49 p.m.

In addition to the DC-10 aircraft, Continental today substituted a Boeing 737-800 on the route, offering 31 additional seats
each way.

Travelers needing to book in the United States, call 1-800-523-3273. In Belize, call 2 78 223.

I'm glad to see that they are finally doing something to help the people in Belize. But don't let their generosity fool you. They are only responding now after pressure from many people to help the stranded in Belize. Do you see them sending in the bigger plane the first day the international airport was in full operation (Wednesday 10/4)? No, I didn't think so.

No matter what my feelings about Continental airlines, I am happy to see they are finally doing something.
