spent one week in A/C Had a fabulious time. much thanks to the board for all recommendations, especially to capt jeff. Stayed in 307 at Aqua Marina suites loved the central location, view, ease of diving . Thanks to Seashell, Amigo's del mar was great. did the blue hole. glad we went. actually best part was saftey stop where we waited while they chummed the water above saw a dozen 5-6 foot grey sharks feeding. once in a life time experience. enjoyed the two dives after the blue hole. did two days of local dives, went back to our room for surface interval. used safe sea. saw some jelly fish but no problems, only ran across one diver who had pica pica run in. he didint know what it was and thought he had some tropical disease when he woke up. (happened about four days before we arrived.)
discovered lily's famous pina colada's two days before leaving. recommend having a virgin colada between dives since it is at the end of pier from amigo's (virgins only 3$ us)
ate at alot of recommended places, we were thrilled lobster season started june 15. had lobster scampi with liguine at Fido's twice, lobster fritters were great. liked elvi's for lunch, fantastic shrimp quesidilla's, ate all dinners on beach. liked Calientee, blue water grill, lily's, and parrot bar at Ramon's,
walked to la popular bakery, worth the walk but take the beach , much cooler.
flew to island in a four seat plane, talk about an adventure. had great wheather. would return for the food and the people. I'm not a fan of those little planes.
thanks again to all
