We're staying at the Sunbreeze.

Amigos del Mar. They will come and pick you up at your dock.

There is a dive operator at your hotel, however, I still recommend Amigos.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Not to give the guys at your hotel a bad rap, but the dive shop there really packs the boats full of people as they sell a lot of stay and dive packages.

Have also heard it is one of the few shops that feels obligated to go out in any condition as they have people who have prepaid for a block of dives and their are no refunds if dives are cancelled.

This is not my personal experience, just what I have heard from other divers and other sources

There are a lot of great dive operatos, go check them out and get a feel for what kind of vibe you get from them then make your choice.

I see you are from Atlanta. Lived in GA for 33 years, 12 in Atlanta now reside in Denver. Send a Varsity Chili dog my way as I miss those gut bombs.

Cehck out BC's right next to you hotel to. Go the beach, hang a right and you are there. It is a great little beach bar. Tell everyone greetings from Robert and Loie. Have Ernie or Carlo the bartenders make you a fresh lime daquiri or colada.

Have fun and dive safe

If a personal guide experience is what you want, a fellow by the name of Tolu (I can't be sure of the spelling) is really great. His boat is docked near Sharks Bar. Everyone at BC's and most other places knows him.

Oh silly Bill! It's Tulu (Allan Villanueva), and yes his boat is on the Coral Beach dock (I can't remember the name of his boat now--it's either Kristy or Janelle). He does a great job, fun, safe and doesn't take more than 3-4 people out at a time. He's the only one I dive/snorkel/fish with when I go down there.

I would strongly echo Seashell's recommendation.
Amigos Del Mar is an extrememly professional and longstanding dive facility.
They have excellent equipment and for the Blue Hole run, have the nicest boat (captained by the proprietor himself) for what is sometimes an ardous trip.

...once upon a time I got married at the end of their pier...

Aqua Dive by the Seabreeze does seem to pack them in. They also have the cruise ship contract and so on days when a ship is in BZE they are somewhat stretched service wise with boats and crew off at the crack of dawn to BZE for the day.

When I go to Ambergris Caye I dive with Pro Tech Belieze. Used them on two trips this year. The dock is south of town at the Belieze Yacht Club, but will pick up from most locations. Pro Tech is a small operation with very personal & professional service. The owner, Ronni, is a very accomplished instructor. You can go out for a basic 2 tank boat dive or do a rebreather course if you are ready for it.

AC is a fun place. Check out Crazy Canucks bar and the Pineapple Willie band. Karl plays a mean guitar. Great cheap eats at the Reef on Middle Street. Try the Belikan stout. Look for barbecues on the beach, restaurants have them on different days.

Thanks so much for the tips, everyone! I am so excited. Hey Robert E.-- had a chili dog for you today. My son had two... he's sleeping outside tonight.
