I just got back from a 10 day trip to belize (3 days in the cayo, 7 on AC). A perfect vacation. Thanks for all the input...though I never asked a question--all I needed was the search feature! It was my first visit to Belize, but I immediately felt comfortable when I arrived in San Pedro.

We stayed at Banana Beach. Excellent rate for a nice room with a balcony. BB has a good beach area with comfy chairs. We did our open water dives for certification through Amigos Del Mar, and went on to do several more local dives with them. We saw turtles, moray eels, and many other critters we would have missed without their expertise. They were a pleasure to learn to dive with. Loved the food at Jambels, Blue Water Grill, El Divino, Fidos. Had a bad experience at Caliente (no service, mediocre food)...but I know others love the place, so maybe they had an off night. Everyone is right about Belikin. Yum. Wondering how I can get my hands on some here is new york city...

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks!

klcman, I may take you up on that! I think my boyfriend would love me forever if I showed up at his apartment with a six pack of Belikin (of course I'd leave the rest of the case in my fridge). email me at jessica_mcniff@hotmail.com and let me know how I can go about getting it. Thanks a bunch!

Can you imagine what would happen when the dogs at JFK sniff your luggage containing "poppy-seed" bagels?
