Hello, folks! A friend and I are heading for San Pedro in about three weeks, and I figured it would be only polite to drop y'all a note to let you know we're on our way...

Seriously, I've been lurking on the message boards while I've been planning the trip, and you guys have already been a help. It's a first time visit for both of us, and pretty loosely planned, but I do have some idea of how to spend my time, and I'm looking forward to the much-needed vacation.

If you see a goofy-looking duo of obviously first-time tourists bumbling down the street between Nov. 12-26, that's probably us. We are good-natured and mostly harmless, and I promise that we won't leave a mess.

Best to you all...

You won't be the only bumbling tourists! My husband and I will be there Nov.11-18. It's our first time also! We're staying at Mata Rocks.
Maybe we'll "bumble" into each other!!
See you there! Can't Wait!!!! cool

The fact that you mention "loosely planned" indicates that you will probably fit right in. Check out the tour operators and see if anything catches your fancy. Definitely do a snorkel or dive to Hol Chan and shark ray alley, try as many eating establishments as you can, don't just find one and decide it's great and keep going back, as there are so many of them. Go with the flow, stop, look and listen. This is a great place to relax.
We are now 101 days out from our trip. smile

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

Thanks for the suggestions, all! I look forward to trying them out. Haven't done any snorkling, but I can't think of a better excuse to learn. Mostly I'm looking forward to relaxing and being warm.

See y'all in a few weeks!
