it sounds like there are a lot of very good places to eat on AC...

the problem i have is that my husband doesn't really like food/eating...and there are many foods he simply will not eat...seafood/fish being one category....it would actually be easier to list the food he will eat.

he does like pizza and burgers and i'm wondering where would you go for both? within walking distance of banana beach?

also...he loves most all breakfast foods....can anyone tell me what the buffet breakfast at BB is like? it's included in our rate but i'm betting there are some better places to get a really good breakfast close by...any advice on that?

laugh well...he is still a great snorkeling partner! and at least he doesn't ask me to make gourmet meals for me...and he pays for the pizza deliveries!! even makes a truly excellent pizza himself!

seriously...i love great food...but have gotten used to the fact that food is unimportant to him. we just need to find a few places where we can BOTH eat. smile

I am not a fish eater either. Can't stand fishy tasting stuff, or wierd consistency. That's here, down there is different entirely. Snapper and Grouper do not taste fishy, have never been frozen (very important) and have a solid consistency. Combined with different flavorings, they are quite distinct from our seafood up here. Take him someplace, order fish or conch for yourself, and lean on him until he takes just a taste. If that doesn't work, there are good pizza and burgers to be had.
I can't stand cold water lobster either, but the warm water lobster is sweeter and is fantastic.
enjoy.

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

Also, sneak some conch fritters into him. He'll never know it's seafood. smile

my mouth is watering already at the thought of snapper, grouper, lobster, conch fritters! i could probably live on fish/seafood alone. it's hard to imagine anyone who would prefer burgers & pizza...but glad you understand the aversion to fish (and yes...consistency issues!)

i've given up trying to coax him to "just taste this"... for better or worse included respecting eating habits...not such a big deal when you love someone. and he does love fishing...i get to eat what he catches!

There's any number of pretty good places for pizza, Pepperoni's for one comes to mind, and most deliver, BUT after a decade of trials, our friends and ourselves all agree that "Dennis the Bun Man" is hard to beat. He's a management employee with Tropic Air among other things, but his wife makes pizzas several evenings a week from their home which is close to BB. How she makes those pizzas without a big ol Blodgett 600 degree oven is beyond us, but she does and they are wonderful. Ask around, someone will give you the nunmber and his schedule. Delivery only, and no futher north than Coconuts.

Burgers are just about everywhere. You won't have a problem there.
