Just curious...have stayed at the Mayan twice before but it's been awhile. I never hear any mention of it on this board though so I am wondering...Has anyone stayed recently?? Thoughts...comments? We have a young child so we have always liked the in town location and friendly staff.

We always fish with Abel who is wonderful!!!!
Just curious if there have been any changes in the last few years. From the sounds of it there have been many in SP overall. Thanks for the info..much appreciated.

Go to the search function, put in Mayan and/or Mayan Princess and you will get lots of posts about the place. It gets talked about all the time.

If you liked it before and you liked the staff and location, you will still like it. It's a great place.

Usually, though, people with kids prefer a place with a pool.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. Liked it before the last two times but was worrying about any changes in the last two years. The pool not our thing...so much to do that we don't feel the need for it. Thanks for the help!
