Darla, you can catch a boat that acts as a "ferry" to caulker from right in San Pedro. It leaves several times daily doing a round trip thing. Be sure and snorkel and swim at the split, it's beautiful. I love caulker.
thank you, I was hoping we would not have to try and boat ourselves. We love to snorkle and can't wait. Should be bring our own equipment or do they rent it? Do you have suggestion of a good place for lunch? Anything else it might be good to know about Caye Calker? How much is the water ferry?

Water taxi fare is 30 bzd )$15 U.S.) round trip between Caye Caulker and San Pedro. Boats leave about every 1-1/2 hours starting pretty early and the last boat leaves from San Pedro to go to Caye Caulker at 4:30 p.m. The last boat from Caye Caulker to San Pedro leaves at 4 p.m. I would bring my own snorkel and mask and then rent fins. The easiest place to snorkel from shore is "The Split" where the island is divided in 2 with a channel. However, I would recommend taking a snorkel tour, you'll see much more.
