Does anyone have experience with the S.P. Holiday Hotel & their dive operation?

Thanks, I was getting ready to cancel since no one replied to my question, thought maybe no input means bad input!

Good place. Older (the first hotel in SP I believe) Belizean style hotel right on the beach in the center of town. Various types of rooms from basic, to ones with fridges, to a suite with kitchen. #9 is a separate little house with 3 beds & a cool porch right on the beach - I usually request it for my clients. Not fancy but clean & good. Very friendly folk. Good restaurant, deli (awesome chocolate rum cake!) & little lobby bar. Outdoor beach BBQ with music on Weds nights. No personal experience with their dive op.

I agree Sea Gal is a great little shop. I come over to the big island and buy lots of my clothes there.

Not sure if the Holiday Hotel was the first to accomodate visiters but certainly one of the older places... I think Milo's, Martha's and the San Pedrano were early pioneers.

Calth,

Holiday Hotel is a very nice place.. They invest a lot of money back into the hotel to keep it current and it's a great place... one of my favorite bars on the island.. and a great restaurant on the grounds...

Just got back from 4 days there, it really is a nice spot. Pretty basic accomodations, but all we needed. Restaurant, bar & deli as advertised, enjoyed all 3 particularly since the people were so great. Their dive operation, Bottom Time is excellent, Chocolate & Eddie couldn't have been more accomodating/professional/all around nice guys who showed us some great things. Highly recommended!

Calth,

Would you consider writing up a trip report? They are fun to read and always have good info.

Thanks
