Here's some island music updates!
Mango's has re-opened after welldeserved break and Monday night jokenight is up and running. Don't miss it! Skinny is kicking! And the food is great! As usual, Punta boys are creating a lively scene at Playador, same night, but go late, after jokenight, and there is all kinds of local music happening at Shark's including Barrington and the islanders and the Punta boys of course. Wednesday and Saturday night is Category X night at Fido's. Cannibals has live music Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, among others Dennis Wolfe. And if you are here for the 18/19th of November, try to catch some drumming. Better yet, make your way to Dangriga and the Garifuna festival on the 17th and 18th. You might not find a room, but I doubt you will need one! This is a one of a kind allnighter. Music is the best mind-altering substance!

Thanks kippe, makes me want to be there right now!
The Garifuna festival sounds interesting, wish I could be there to experience it. Music does sooth the beast in all of us.

Can someone there check with Julia Martinez (maybe thru the Black & White Reggae Bar) to find out about drumming on Ambergris Caye? Last year we went to Hopkins. Would love to know where to go to find some Garifuna drumming on the 17 - 19 of November as we will be in San Pedro.

Yes, you don't want to miss the first ever
"punta rock festival" in Dangriga.

This will be held on the 18th Nov. from 6:00pm to 6:00am just in time to watch the re-enactment of the Garifuna to the shores of Belize.

This weekend 14th & 15th Nov. will be the Agricultural Show and Cassava festival.

Don't miss Dangriga for this celebration.

If anyone is interested to come to Dangriga for next years festival, you'll have to start making your hotel reservations from now.

I know it will be "BIG" next year as the 19th Nov. will be on a Friday making it a long weekend.

Usually hotels are booked 1 year in advance for this celebration.

Tincup, am sure major event will be at Black & White. Just ask around when you come down.Ask for Anthony, the woodcarver, he will know. As for the Punta boys, talked to Mario today and they will not be on the island from the 15th through the 20th.
