I will be travelling from the States to San Pedro in May. Does anyone know if Cigars and bottles of wine can legally be brought into Belize?

Here's what I know... Not that that means much

"The following goods may be taken into Belize without incurring customs duty:
200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco; 568ml of alcoholic beverages; 1 bottle of perfume for personal use." This is from Continental Airlines website.

The restriction on alcohol seems tight, no pun...

Basically the rules say you can bring in one bottle of booze or wine per adult. A fifth or liter -- the customs folks aren't going to check the exact ml size! And a carton of cigarettes or 50 cigars. As a practical matter, you can probably get by with a couple of bottles if you're a tourist and it's for personal use.

Hi, as far as I know, you can take two litres of booze and 200 cigs back into usa...we have cuban cigars here!!! Take the little paper ring off though before transporting back. Rendezvous Restaurant & Winery has some mighty fine wine, and free wine-tasting every afternoon till 4. laugh
