Does anyone have suggestions on who to contact for snorkeling trips. I know that where I'm staying - Banana Beach - offers trips. Are most places comparable? Just looking for suggestions or personal preferences. Also, a past post suggested that "Joe's" on Middle Street was a good place to rent bikes. Does that still hold true?
This message board has proven to be invaluable to me. Thanks. Hope I have the opportunity to meet some of you during my stay.

I believe Banana Beach has bikes available. Check with them to make sure.

Monkey Business at Banana Beach did a great job arranging our snorkel trip to Shark Ray Alley. Just easier to use them than call all the dive shops to see who is doing what when. I don't believe it was any more expensive than booking it directly.

There are many tour shops on the Island but I have found Hustlers does good snorkle trips. Their guides are great and their prices are cheaper than going through any resort!!! Ask for Everett and tell him Vince and Sherry said "HELLO".

As for bicycles, depending on how long you are staying, buying a bike there and then selling or giving it away is cheaper than renting!!!! (as crazy as that sounds!)

We checked and you could purchase a bike for around $100 U.S. jmho

One Barrel and Sprite.....It doesn't get any better than that!

The girls at Monkey Business at Banana Beach will do a good job of hooking you up with snorkel tours. Two guides that we really enjoyed were Alfonso Graniel and Jerry Ack.

It doesn't cost you any more to book through Monkey Business than it does to book direct.

Hello, I have an old friend in San Pedro has a beautiful catamaran sailboat. His name is geraldo Badillo, the boat is El Gato. He his a great guide, and they snorkel too. His webpage is under diving in this website. He calls it, " Adventures with Geraldo and Justo". His brother Fido Badillo is a great fishing guide. Good-Luck, Mel S.

I can highly recommend Alfonso Graniel. We went with him in Sept and he was excellent. I booked him through Monkey Business.
