Just out of curiousity...
Other than the channel that was dug out between Mexico and Ambergris Caye by the Mayans way back when that turned Ambergris Caye into an island, are there any other portions of a trip by land from Xcalak to San Pedro that could not be done on dry land?
Is there a route where a future road could be built or do the lagoons around Robles North and Rocky Point that extend up to the Balacar Chico area make a land route too impractical for any kind of serious consideration for this type of endeavor in the future?
Just curious about how the future of the area between Xcalak and San Pedro will play out.
