I fish once a month in sanpedro see my posts , when I go the boat I go on has a capt and a mate the capt is the owner so we only give the mate 50 to 75 belize for the trip if it is a full day sometimes100 belize,but my mate works his ass off for me and thats with three or 4 pass on the boat if its flat fishing or he has no mate you have one capt and if he is the owner ,the tip is up to you ,again I tip a lot but my guy works hard for me and we catch lots of fish, so I give him a little extra, but if your guy works for the owner of the boat ,,and is not the boss hook him up if he goes out his way to get you to the fish... and does a great job ??? life is so short and he probably can use the money ,however if the capt takes you out and does nothing out of ther way .does not move the boat a lot and takes you for just boat ride , and does not care less if you catch fish wich is rare thing in sanpedro ????give him nothing and get a new guide there some good ones here..tight lines to you and good fishing
