Help out a newbie here, please!

The cut is a channel between the ocean side and the east side of the island, just north of San Pedro. You need to take the hand ferry to get across with a cart, bike, or on foot.

And if you want to swim in the ocean in a shallow spot, there is a great little beach park up near the ferry crossing. Rent a golf cart for the day & take your mom to lunch at Sweet Basil's. It's just across the ferry. Then you can explore the island and get off the tourist track.

That sounds fabulous. Do you think you could pinpoint this place on a map for me? Or maybe someone else with Photoeditor or Adobe could help me out here? Thanks for the advice. We will definitely check it out.

If you are inquiring about the park, it is at the spot where the cut hits the oceanside. Just go to the ferry and take a right, can't miss it. Sweet Basils is over the ferry and if I remember correctly, a half mile or so down the road on the left. There is not so much at that point and it's clearly marked and visible from the road.

Is it possible to get back across the cut at night now since there is a new bar on the north side? A previous post indicated that the watchman will run the ferry across after 8PM (for more $$).
Anyone know how this is working?
