I've been using the search engine on this site to go back over previous posts, just to make sure I am prepared for our upcoming trip. Now I have ANOTHER question.

I have seen it recommended by several posters that travellers to AC should bring ziplock baggies. Why? Am I missing something obvious here? confused

TIA!
Marsali

P.S. I also wouldn't mind, although of course it isn't really necessary, if someone would enlighten me on the jokes about Tidy Bowl cleaner and blue drinks. Again, I feel like I'm missing something obvious here smile

Marsali, ziplocs are great in traveling.
Ziplocs, is Sweetjane's recommendation everytime.

Ziplocs big ones, are good to pack your undies, Tshirts, and other clothing in, sit on them and push out the air, and zip. With airport security and searching, it makes it easier. You can get more into your suitcase that way.

Then you have those ziplocs for your camera on boats, and other things to keep dry. Good for bringing wet clothing home. Good to carry your Marie Sharp hot sauce in, incase of spillage.

Blue drink, is Choochoo's only he can tell you.
Tidy Bowl is Debbie's, she will explain.

If your search turns up PV#3, Klc, Islenut and O'Jackie knows that answer.

laugh hope this helps.

They work well as ersatz purses & wallets (salt water is not so good for leather)- are useful for keeping the sunblock leaks from ruining everything else in your bag - and keeping your wet stuff apart from your dry stuff.

Tee hee hee.... Chloe....
Yes, the tidy bowl went down in infamy at my birthday party. Choo Choo has a penchant for these NASTY blue drinks that taste like jet fuel or could even equal the flavor of tidy bowl. Jokes were made about Choo Choo's dealings in toilet fixtures, so the tidy bowl comment fit quite well. As the best joke of all, A plastic toilet was brought to my birthday party and the blue drinks were consumed from it in honor of Choo Choo. It was sent to him as a gift after the party for his desk. There are pictures of it somewhere on this message board, but I haven't a clue how to find it.... Marty????

Geesh..... Forgot about the baggies. They are good for.....
1. putting a flashlight in for hanging off the docks and attracting the night creatures with light.
2. collecting sea shells
3. wet swimsuits, towels, etc.
4. sandy shoes
5. marinating the fish you caught that day!!!
6. storing the fish you caught in the fridge.
7. putting snacks in for when you go on the boat.
8. putting your hair ornaments, jewlery and and watch in when you go get your massage.
9. use as an ice pack in case of accident.
10. protect your camera from sand and water.
11. pull over your head in a downpour.
12. storing maps, pictures and pamphlets for tours.
WHATEVER!!! They are wonderful!!!
