Belize Receives Award For Best Adventure Destination

Belize City, Monday, January 26, 2004Belize was named the Best Adventure Destination to be featured in Caribbean Travel & Life’s special April 2004 issue of “Best of the Caribbean.”

Caribbean Travel & Life, which is notably the only national travel magazine to focus exclusively on the Caribbean and has a circulation of a half million per issue, does an annual special survey of its readersboth electronic and print readersto discern their top choices in numerous categories. These 15 plus categories feature beaches, bars, cuisine, shopping and undoubtedly adventure destinations.

After competing against other Caribbean locales such as the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Dominica and the Dominican Republic, Belize made her way to the top of the list by popular opinion. The award provides us with the opportunity to promote the destination through the usage of the official logo for one year.

This special edition of the magazine becomes available for purchase March 20, 2004 on newsstands in the US.

Of recent, Belize was also recognized as one of the World’s Best Honeymoon Destinations For Adventure as well as one of the World’s Trendiest Honeymoon Locales. The country was also named one of the Top Ten World Travel Destinations of 2003, as declared by iExplore January of this year.
