If this has been addressed previously, my apologies!

Headed to Ambergris Caye for the first time next Friday. (YEAH!!!) I'd definitely like to try diving, even though I'm claustrophobic and scared of fish. heehee!

My question is this:

Do I have to do one of those 3 day courses, and pay a bunch of money? Is there a deal where you can take a quicky lesson in the pool and dive the same day?

Forgive my ignorance, this is all new to me.

Can't wait to get there!!!

Most dive places offer a resort dive for around $125US.
