MY wife and I are looking for a place on AC to hang our hat for 2 weeks or so... Having never been there it is hard for us to say where we want to stay. Somewhere close to town (not in town), with AC, screens on the windows, a pool, nice but not luxurious... Even with all those requirements (hers not mine) there still seems to be a good assortment of places, and I have yet to hear anyone say a bad thing about any of them (and I have been lurking here for some time)... So, can you really go wrong? How do I decide?! Thanks, oh, and a nice, helpful board you all have here..

Ditto the Paradise Villa's, that's where I'll be in a few days, but if you don't need a pool I can highly recommend Belizean Reef Suites. Clean as a pin, just down from Ramon's and a nice setting. Just like living in a condo for your stay. This is usually where I stay because of convienence and with it so close to ramon's, you can swim off the end of the pier & don't need a pool.Check it out, and they will do your laundry as well.

Paradise Villas has a couple of different booking agents due to the ownership structure. One is Nellies Management, another Tradewinds and also Capt. Ron's //www.ambergriscaye.com/captron/
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Lots of options that would fill the bill. Beside Paradise Villas, I'd say look The Tides, The Palms, SunBreeze, Corona del Mar, Xanadu, Coconuts and Aqua Marina Suites and if you can do without the pool Mayan Princess, Corona del Mar, and a for considerably less money Spindrift, Lily's and the newer rooms at Ruby's, among others. There's a considerable range of amenities and prices in that group, and some are in town, but all offer value for the money depending on what you want.

I agree with Paradise Villas and Coconut's but I also think you might want to look at Seven Seas. It's a good value for the money, and very conveniently located. Nice little pool in the back, a dock, cute rooms with a kitchen, and AC in the bedrooms. You don't need it in the living area as the see breeze is AWESOME!!! I've stayed at all three and don't think you would be disappointed.
