what is the best option for a water taxi from belize city to AC?
we have a friend who may have a chance to come over and see us before flying out of BC on her way home from Guatemala...she doesn't want to pay the airfare...but since she's going to be in BC...might just come over to AC by water taxi to see us...if she has time...
i know it's a longer ride...but can anyone recommend a particular method/company by water and price?

I think all the water taxi's are approx the same price. The Thunderbolt is my favourite. Catch it right by the swing bridge. About an hour and 15 min to San Pedro, a little longer if they stop by Caye Caulker on the way. $30 bz as I recall..

The Caye Caulker Water Taxi Association boats leave from the Marine Terminal near the Swing Bridge. Fare is US$14 one-way or US$25 round-trip (but round-trip only on the same day.) It's fine if the weather is decent.
Only a few bucks more (US$26) is a flight from the municipal airstrip.
