Hi all - after many emails and phone calls we were able to book beachfront at Captain Morgans. Initially our preference was to stay in town - but Ramons was well . . . booked.

We are coming 4/28-5/6. I was wondering about a couple of things:

Anyone else going too?

North of the cut restaurants: I have done my research and know that Capricorn is the place to eat dinner. I am more interested in regular everyday recommendations for breakfast, lunch, cheaper dinner.

Also wondering if anyone has stayed at CM recently and can email me specifics re food, drinks and cost there? Breakfast, etc.?

I expect we will mostly be snorkeling, fishing, sailing, etc. since we are not divers.

I am also curious if there is a spa/place to get massages?

My wife and I were at Captain Morgan's in November. Nice place, friendly staff; if you want more specifics give me your email address and I'll write more.

Places North of Cut to eat: Portofino and Rendezvous come to mind. Belizean Shores (next door) was pretty good and provides a nice view of the sunset. Capricorn (next door the other way) is real good / romantic place; more expensive than the others at about $25 a plate (more or less). Also the restaurant at Captain Morgan's was good.

Spa: Mata Chica (also North) is suppossed to be known for their spa.

Oh yeah, don't know how I forgot this one, Sweet Basil's for lunch. Although I think the place is For Sale right now.
