I ran a query on past messages for cigars, but all of the information was for Cuban cigars. I don't really care for Cubans(too expensive). I'm wondering whether I should bring my favorite Domenicans or if I can buy them in AC for the same price or cheaper than in the states and if they have a good selection of Nicaraguans and Domenicans. I'm trying to keep the luggage minimal, and trimming everything that I can't get there at a reasonable price. Any cigar smokers on this board that know if the non-Cubans in AC are reasonably priced at the few shops in town like Travelers, Sea Turtle, or Rum House?

Can't speak to prices, but availability seems ok. See this:

Angelo,

when are you going to AC? I am going 5/2 and have wondered about the cigar proces too. If you are going to be there before me, please let me know. If it is anything like it was in Cozumel, it would be less expensive to take your own with you.

I'll be there 4/10 - 4/18. I'll post my findings along with my fishing report when I get back. I might bring at least 5 or 6 cigars with me. I get fantastic box prices purchasing on the net and tax-free at that, so I don't think I'll do any better. I use http://cigarprice.com/ , which is a search engine to find the best prices on any brand and roll. Their basic search is free and I find it works well. You might want to check it out, as it has saved me a bundle in the past.
