We're arriving on a Sunday into Belize city around 2pm and figure we'll get to San Pedro by 4-5pm. Will we still be able to attend the BBQ everyone on the board raves about...and where exactly is it held(firsttimers here) Also, does anyone know if the BBQ takes place on Easter Sunday (in case we can't make the first Sunday we arrive) or where our family might have a special meal on that day? From what I hear, most places close up on Easter. Thanks for any info.

Good question. I'd like to know as well, since I'll be there on Easter Sunday.

My understanding is that the BBQ runs from 11:00
to 4:00.

11:00 a.m until the food runs out, usually around 3-4 p.m.

Easter Sunday has been no problem to find a place to eat. It's a bit slower because some businesses give their employees the full four day holiday. Yup, that would be Good Friday, Easter or Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, AND--the biggest day of all--Easter Monday. Easter Monday can be a REAL challenge.

I ate at BC's last Easter Sunday.

Thanks everyone...I guess from the feedback, BC's won't be the place to hit our first day since we'll be arriving when the food has disappeared!!! But we may stop in to meet some of the boarders...I'd like to put faces to the helpful comments that come this way. Especially Pedro1...he sounds like a lepracaun of some sort!!! Perhaps we'll shoot for Easter Sunday, although we're way up north at Costa Maya and it might not be worth the trip being that most things will be shut down. Any recommendations from the board of where we could eat up north that will make it special for Easter Sunday dinner? Thanks again..
