It's been just 2 months shy of a year since my last (#4) trip to AC. Last year's trip was a bit odd (very windy weather & I had health issues). I read this board every week and each time I read a newbie's trip report I fall in love with AC all over again.

This year I'm visiting Costa Rica in May and celebrating my big Birthday in September by driving up the coast to Oregon with some friends.

But, if I can, I'd still like to visit AC some time this year (time & money issues aside).

So..., if I were to visit AC this year on my list to do are:

Stay at Caribe Island Resort (hopefully Vickie will be there)

Go fishing with CaptJeff (never been fishing - wanna real bad - hopefully he'll be there and willing to allow a newbie on his outing laugh )

Meet all the Boarders and locals at BCs BBQ on Sunday (last time I was too early and missing everyone) - Hi Bruce and Charlene

Stay up late enough to go dancing

Check out Barefoot Skinny's place

Buy more Amber from Elisabeth

Check out Pedro1's Inn and treat him and Charlie to a nice lunch somewhere

See if Bill Thornton is in town (he was in town last year - looked all over for him)

Say Hi to all my AC friends, Margie, Ada, etc.

Thanks for allowing me to day dream a bit - needed the stress reliever today! smile cool laugh

Life is demanding, and I think you should demand a trip to AC. It will all work out laugh

Want me to throw some sand at ya smile

Have fun on the other adventures.

Gela: no worries, you will really like Costa Rica - a very interesting and beautiful country.

It is time for me to get back to AC sometime as well, as it has been a year ago last November! And, I plan on staying at Caribe too for a change. It looks awesome. I have enough air miles so it just might be sometime this year.

Enjoy your trip to CR! Let me know what you think.

Hi Gela, Are you following us? Amy (Vball coach) and I are going to be in Costa Rica at the end of the month for a week. It was a very difficult decision on whether to go back to Belize or try something new. We figured since we only had a week we would check out CR. It is tough for us to go to Belize without going to both AC and Placencia and one week just isn't enough time to visit both. We are already planning on a return trip though. Hope everything is going well. ML

Wow, it must be that time of year - hello to Gela and Mountain Larry (and Amy), who we met on our last trip to Belize (2002). I was just looking at the pictures yesterday and thinking "I gotta go back!". Dave and I went to Hawaii last year, very beautiful and enjoyable... but not Belize. I believe we are ruined forever. Not such a bad thing. We'll probably go back this year, maybe May instead of June. The scheduling is the hardest part. Enjoy Costa Rica and let us know how it was!

NJGirl, Great to here from you! That really was an excellent time we had in 2002, I'll never forget the bus(and boat)ride back from the cave tubbing trip. We need to have a reunion visit sometime. Paluxy, are you out there?

Hi Everybody! It's great to hear from all of you. And interesting that we are venturing out to new places but still miss our "lovely AC". Laurie started it all when she went to CR last November. I managed to get a timeshare swap @ Playa Samara AND a frequent flyer ticket to CR so I'm going with minimal expense. That's why I hope I can swing AC - maybe at the end of the year.

Good to hear from all of you. Hey Larry - we both are celebrating our BIG BD year this year - you in June and me in September - can you believe it!! eek smile cool wink

Gela, enjoy your Costa Rica vacation. I loved Costa Rica, and glad I went, and can still remember every day of that vacation, most eventful. Been there done that, and glad.

But Belize is the place that calls me back often.
Alot less flying time too.

Enjoy, take pictures.
