I emailed our main news station...and the response was basically..
*****************
Thanks for your e-mail. We are trying to provide as much coverage of
Hurricane Keith as possible. We are aware that many people from the
Edmonton
area spend vacation time in the region that's been hit. So far we haven't
received very much information, but will try to get more material on the
air.
Keep watching..

I AM SO PISSED OFF!!!!!!
I explained that my parents that are EDMONTONIANS had the chance to bail out but decided to stay and help. I asked for them to make the job easier!!!!
I gave them links...official reports from this board...pictures..etc etc etc ETC!!!!!
I suggest that all Canadians bomb a chosen news station, with pleading emails. I chose Global since they are in every province.
Here is the initial email I sent them....
MOST in Canada do not know what the wrath of Keith has caused. The
coverage by
the states..the weather channel and Canada has been NIL! All I heard was
hurricane keith churning in the same spot...for DAYS.
Yes..this hurricane lingered over the tiny Islands of Ambergris Caye and
Caye
Caulker for approx 3-4 days.
Here are two links from the hub of acivity that was on the internet.
RELIEF is
needed in a big way. The two tiny Islands, Ambergris Caye (San Pedro)
and Caye
Caulker is devestated!! This information you are about to read is
accurate..be
the first TV station to get the word out..and to get Relief.
My parents are there right now..they went through the hurricane. Food,
water,
medical supplies is scarce. Children without clothes...baby's without
milk.

Rumor has it that the eye of the hurricane went over San Pedro 3
times...and
reached 190 MPH at some points. This is where my parents were!!
Please make Canadians proud..and my parents...Edmontonians. Help..or at
least
get the word out so others have the choice to help.
