In addition to the Free Music School of Belize, there is now a new organization called “Volunteers Activity Centers”, VAC, in San Pedro. The initiative to create this organization was taken by previous members of the board of directors and volunteer teachers after several actions taken by the founder of the school, who was also the self elected chairman of the board, which were not acceptable or in accordance with the bylaws of the “Free Music School of Belize”. The new organization will not center on music alone, but on any activity that will help enhance the lives of the people and especially the children of Belize. Mr. Evan Vernon, who is now chairman of the board of VAC will continue to offer drama and poetry lessons as he did under the umbrella of “The Free Music School of Belize” and I will continue my efforts to raise funds and material for VAC as I did for the “Free Music School of Belize”. I wish to officially offer my thanks to those who have supported the “Free Music School of Belize” and assure you that no matter what your donations have been put to good use.
