Hi,

I'm new to this post, but have been reading it for a while and found it really imformative. Has anyone here ever stayed at The Palms Condos next to Ramon's? This will be my 4th trip to San Pedro and while I've always stayed at Ramon's, I wanted to try a condo this time. I live in Houston and will be going with 3-4 other ladies in early June.

thanks

Hi Mimi, stayed there this Feb, and can't say enough nice things about it. The rooms are fairly spacious, clean, and the staff is exceptional. We had one of the upper exec suites for the first 5 days, and then moved to a second floor 2 bedroom for another 4 days. Both of the units were extremely nice, and our son had a single bedroom unit on the second floor that was nice also. We have always stayed at Paradise Villas in the past and liked them very much, however couldn't get in there this year so we switched to The Palms. Now, we would probably make the Palms our first choice with PV a close second. Check out the pics at http://community.webshots.com/user/bobber211

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

Mimi, also consider the Belizean Reef Suites which are one building down from the Palms. I've been staying there for 5 years & love it.

Mimi, boy that's hard to answer. I was just there last month & enjoyed the new Cocina Carumba on the middle street, but I love the old Jambel's too. The food was wonderful as well at the Rendevous which is on the north end. Much great food on Ambergris, I have rarely had a bad meal in 6 yrs.

Mimi, between your enquiries about The Palms, and Badco's reference to The Belizean Reef I believe the two best properties in terms of quality of accommodation have been identified. For example, the standing orders from the owners of The Belizean Reef to the manager, with reference to any needed repairs and/or upkeep are: Whatever it takes to maintain the highest possible quality...the cost is not the issue...

I think you would experience the best in terms of the physical surroundings with either of these properties.
