We were there last Feb. for a snorkel/beach lunch. It's an interesting place to be for an afternoon but we were dissappointed with the snorkeling as the reef looked very damaged from H. Iris. The colors were mostly pale grays and we encountered very few tropical fish or marine life. The island itself is a great place to relax after the long boatride to it. There are a few overnight shacks that can be rented and there are island caretakers who were informative and friendly. They had a little cantena set up for drinks and sundries. The highlight of the afternoon was watching 3 local dogs play in the water looking for fish. And of course the ever present pelican squadron hanging out. I'd say it's worthy of the experience but don't expect much in the way of snorkeling.
