I just got back from AC on 3/28. And, if you are going in the very near future, I don't think mosquitos are going to be an issue for anyone. I got bitten by one mosquito on my entire one week trip, and that was in the jungle on the mainland. I didn't even see a mosquito on the island. I was a little surprised. I was prepared to be eaten alive. I'm guessing because it's the dry season. Just my experience. But, take the bug repellant anyway, and have fun! I did!

goody...

i think you're worrying a bit too much about getting bit! like hotsauz...we never experienced any problems...not a single bite in 10 days...not even on the one day without any wind.

the bug spray i brought went unused.

of course, we didn't go to the mainland/jungle tours...but anywhere we went on AC...never saw or felt a mosquito!

Life would be grand, if Noah had spatted those two mosquitos.

It really depends on WHERE on the island you are. On or near the water when the wind is blowing, and around San Pedro, generally no problem. Away from the water north or south, and you may get bitten a bunch. Just heard from someone who was at Salamander, which is way north, and she says she got 400 bites.
