Just so you have the "other side" of the story - we stayed at Mata Rocks in 2002. Since then, they have added a few new rooms and a pool. Granted, the view from downstairs was not that great, but the room (we had a Jr. Suite) was very large, with a kitchen (not that we used it, but having a fridge was great). Mata Rocks is a small place, with very personal service. The beach bar and the bartenders were a joy. We looked at BB, and it sure did look nice, but we'll stay at Mata Rocks again. In my mind, it's the difference between a "Mom & Pop" and a chain. Same basic amenities, but a different feel. You'll enjoy either one.
