Can anyone recommend a good snorkeling outfit with only a few people per trip? Preferably an all day (layed back) sail/snorkel.

Go see Tulu on the old Coral Beach dock. He does real small snorkel trips; he is a wealth of information and tons of fun. You can snorkel as long as you want, put a fishing line in if you want, barhop if you want and he's lots of fun, besides the fact that he is really just a little fishy out of water himself. laugh

Most any dive shop or hotel staff can arrange a half or full day trip on a small boat. Probably stay inside the reef. My guy was Eloy. Snorkle once or twice then fish. If in season he will get lobsters for you abd filet the fish you caught for a deelicious beach BBQ. Less than $200US for tyhe day. I like to bring my own mask, then I 'Know where it's been.'

If you want dive & scuba (no fishing allowed) in customized, small trips - one of the absolute best of the best is Alonzo Flota - "Under Da Sea".

Sail on the "Rum Punch" (that's a sailboat) - George Eiley - definitely.

oops, I missed the 'sail' part too. George is great fun also, his boat is on the end of the same dock as Tulu. Either one will show you a good time!

Last August (for my b-day) Capt Bicho and his son took us (me and Irm) on an all day private snorkel and beach BBQ. We are vegetarians so we didn't fish - but you could if you want. This day was the highlight of our trip. We went as far north as Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve and then had our BBQ at the abandoned Basil Jones resort. The snorkeling was amazing!!! and so was the food. Capt Jeff can hook you up if you are interested. Check out our pics if interested. Have fun. mobunny cool

11 more days and I will be at AC for the first time. I was hoping to get more info on Tula.Do you just go see him after your plane has landed? Is there anyway to call and see when he is available? How many can go on his boat? How much does he charge?

Tulu can take 4-6 people comfortably. His boat is definitely NOT a sailboat though. I can't quote prices for you, but he is very reasonable. You can reach him at 600-4582 or 226-2287.
