I know Belize is laid back an I am lookin' forward to it. But, if I have a boat booked and have to find a restaurant with quick service, what would you recommend? Of course it would be nice if the food is good and price is reasonable. I have enjoyed this message board by the way, its fun to look forward to Belize!!!!

Where are you staying? I take it your looking for breakfast. Estel's on the beach downtown opens at 6:00 and is the best breakfast in town. Try it out. You'll go back another day!!

Estel's on the beach IS great, on the other side of town, however, there's Dianita's Take Out. I't good, fast and pocket friendly. They have local fare and they do have tables so you don't have to take it out. On Caribena Street, between Front Street (Barrier Reef Drive) and Middle Street, next to the Casino.

Speaking of Caribena Street, D.D.'s Ice Box is under new management. It's now D.D.'s Ice Box and Submarine Base and features breakfasts, submarine sandwiches and smoothies. On Caribena Street between Front Street (Barrier Reef Drive) and the beach.

Either would be fine for a quidk take out or a sit down breakfast, lunch of dinner.

Hi Guys!! Thanks for the feedback! I'm staying at Caribe Island Resort. Guess I'm lookin' for great food anytime of day lunch and dinner too that has reasonably quick service. The normal time one would wait in the U.S. is what I'm thinking. Whatever restaurant on the Island you consider one of the best that is also fast. I just don't want to wait 45 mins with all the fun things on the island.

suntam...

you're staying at a resort with one of the best restaurants around! we had a great lunch there...and didn't have to wait any longer than one would expect....and the surroundings make any wait more than pleasant! you'll love dining in their pier restaurant with an incredible view!

also try el divino's at banana beach...not far down the road from caribe island towards town...a fabulous place for a special dinner.

actually...we ate at a lot of different places and never found the wait time noticeably long...except maybe at BC's BBQ...but the huge crowd there on sundays explains that...and the food it WORTH waiting for!

You are staying at Caribe Island???
sigh...breathe... bigger sigh... I wish I was coming with you! We sure LOVE Caribe Island!

Kisses to Vicki for me!

P.S. There is no such word as "quick" on AC, as Barb says, "relax and go with the flow". ENJOY!!!
