We enjoy the night life and wondered what are the best places to go on certain nights, like wednesday's at Wet Willie's for the chicken drop?
Is there certain nights that live bands play at certain clubs? Which ones are the liveliest and most fun? We plan on going out most every night, are there any precautions we should take?


Also I believe there is a casino in San Pedro, but never see any mention of it on this board. Is it worth going to? We really enjoy blackjack.

You should type in "night life" in the search. This topic has been discussed rather regularly. There are a couple of episodes of "Wild On" that have been recorded on AC. Check the links on the E! web site. Having given you this info, a couple of items.
First, atleast in early March, Chicken Drop was in front of Caliente. Wet Willy's also has lady's night on Wed night, but the two places are a short walk down the beach from each other. Check out the signs in front of the clubs during the day. They will tell you who is playing where. There are many places to see good bands and nightlife, of course Wet Willy's, Crazy Kanucks(sp?), Hammock House, Fido's, Coconuts Hotel, are my favorites, not in any order. For really late night dancing, Big Daddy's and Barefoot Iguana, more of a disco atmosphere. AC really isn't a dangerous place to party, however care should be taken. Just like anywhere else, the later the nightlife, the more dangerous it is. Women should be escorted and watched after dark and late night.

Palace Casino is really great IMHO. They get alot of my money on every visit, but alot of fun.
Great staff in the casino. If you stay late they will call you a taxi.

Thanks for the info. I did do a search for night life first, but it seemed dated. Clubs and bars are constantly changing names and happenings and was looking for current info. We have only 31 days to go.
Any other current input would be appreciated.

Here what people normally do is: hang out and drink at the bars then head out to the clubs because it doesn't pick up until like 11:00 or 11:30 or so. On Monday's they have a live local band that plays at the Crazy Canuk's Bar at the Playador Hotel. On Tuesday's some local guys as well play at the Sharks Bar. On Wednesday's they have Lady's night at the Wet Willy's which, then on Thursday night they have karoke at Jaguar's Club until mid-night, on Friday they have karoke at Big Daddy's, as well until 12:00. Then it's the weekend that you can choose either between Jaguar's or Big Daddy's Night Club. Otherwise, you can visit Fido's for dinner they have a live band, the Holiday Hotel for Bar-B-Que and live music on Wednesdays.

I hope I gave you some choices if you need more info. let me know.

The clubs like Jaguar's, Barefoot Iguana & Big Daddy's do not get going till 11:30 or 12. Go to any of the other bars first (Fido's usually has live music Thurs - Sat at least) till they close at 12 and then to one of the 3 "disco's." Saturday is the main night.
