Has anybody stayed at Coral Bay Villas? We will be there for 2 weeks around the first of July. Is this a good time to go? Are the Pica Pica there at that time? We have booked a fishing trip with Capt. Bicho, but may want more. Will he be booked up by the time we get there? Decisions.. Deccions.. confused

We just got back from Belize. We stayed at Coral Bay Villas for 4 days, 3 days at BB and 4 days in Caye Caulker. CBVs are very nice. Spacious rooms with AC in the bedroom. Only drawback about them is that there is no pool and when your sunning in the hot, humid air, a quick dip in the pool would be nice. You have to go inside and shower off. It would have been nice if they even had a outside shower.
Rafael, the manager, is great. Very nice and very accommodating. You can book everything you want to do right there with him. Derek, the night security guy, is nice too(and pretty lonely with an all night duty). He will talk your head off.

We stayed at Coral Bay Villa's in Feb. and totally loved it, have booked our return trip for next winter already. We found that several hotels would let you use their pool if you were buying a couple drinks from their bar. Therefore the pool thing wasn't a problem!

Hi Taters & Dab...sorry you missed it, but Coral Bay DOES have an outside shower. And it's beautiful...you probably didn't notice it because of the bouganvilla draping over it.

Anyway, it's on the East side of the office bldg in back of the condos. Used it many times...whenever I do, I'm always thinking that it's the most beautiful shower it the world! There's a little bathroom there, too. Handy if you're staying upstairs.

remember that the Penland's that own Coral Bay also own Belizean Shores......you can use the pool pool up there if you like since you're staying at Coral Bay - and Belizean Shores has the best pool on the island!! smile

sweets, Now I'm not trying to be picky, but the Penland's developed, built, and now manage both Coral Bay Villas and Belizean Shores. The condos however all have individual owners including several members of this board. That pool at BZS is possibly the best in Central America, certainly the country of Belize.

If you would like to see pic's of the pool at Belizan Shores go to www.belizeislandvacations.com , there are several pics of the pool and of the resort. I agree the best pool on the island!

4 miles north by water taxi. Gives y'all a chance to see some right pretty island sights. The pool...it's almost like this thing got a bit outta hand.
