Anyone have any insight to the origins and stories of the good luck seed necklaces that many of the street vendors sell. I understand the seed is from a vine/ tree called Nescafe which is the same ingredient in the Nescafe instant coffee type beverage.
Just looking for a little history and trivia lesson on how this came to be viewed as a good luck charm/talisman.
Is that the same as a horse eye? Michelle tells me that they are seeds that wash up on the shore. I have one that Miss Angie gave me. When she gave it to me, she told me it was good luck. It's about the size of a quarter. Same thing?
Not sure as to why they're lucky other than for my dog, who will find them washed up on the beach and bring them over to be thrown, and she loves to chase them. Likes Cats too!!
