We are wanting to make a last minute trip to AC next month but our ususal digs, The Palms, is booked... We LOVE the Palms 2 bdrm w/loft top floor units. Any other suggestions for somewhere close to town, with pool, beach area and 2 bdrms that is similar to the Palms?

Thanks in advance!
Scott

If you can do without a pool, why not consider the Belizean Reef, right next door?

Or how about two rooms at the Blue Tang?

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Check out Paradise Villas also. Nice grounds and pool, nice rooms, pretty decent snorkeling out front. Not quite the view, but, hey, being there is the most important thing.

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

I was going to suggest Paradise Villas too, but in the end, I wasn't sure the rooms were going to meet the criteria.

Scott,
Banana Beach has two pools, a wonderful ocean front view, nice beach area, restaurant and bar. I know that you wanted close to town, but a 15 minute beach walk is not bad at all. You are on vacation, what else do you need to do, besides enjoy the beach.

Banyan Bay has some incredible summer specials, its almost the same rate as the palms.

I've stayed at the Banyan Bay and it is very nice. A bit pricey and a distance from town. I've also stayed at the Exotic Caye Beach Resort (www.belizeisfun.com) and that was nice as well. It is also close to town. Both had pools, restaurants, and a nice beach area. Exotic Caye has Crazy Canucks Beach bar which is alot of fun.

Xanadu may also work. Not as close as The Palms, a bit closer than Banana Beach, just as nice as either. No restaurant or bar on site but has pool, beach and 2 bedroom units.

OK... I have looked at both Banana Beach and Xanadu web sites... They both look nice... I like the thatched look of Xanadu and the fact that it's a little closer to town... If you were going to book one or the other which one and why?

Thanks again for all the input!!
