Does anyone have any information on the Caye Caulker Lobster Fest?

July 3
7 a.m. Fishermen's Mass at the Show Grounds
10 a.m. Official Ceremonies

Noon - Lobsterfest booths open for tasty lobster dishes

8 p.m. Miss Lobsterfest Pageant

10 p.m. Dance to the sounds of "Youth Connection Band"

Lobster Fishing Tournament - July 3 and 4. No entry fee will be charged. The largest whole lobster with the most weight can win you cash. (Licensed Fisherfolk only)
1st Prize: $150
2nd Prize: $100
3rd Prize: $50
Weighing will commence on Saturday July 3 1-6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on the Show Grounds. After weighing, the lobster wil be given back to the fisherman. Just after closing time the winners will be announced and prizes given to the winners.

Sunday July 4
Beach Party and drawing of Grand Raffle at 2 p.m.

Caye Caulker is the place to be for fun and tasty lobster.

Caye Caulker is readying itself for the Lobsterfest, as we speak, booths are being put up.

I am so envious. I wish I was going to be there!!! Whoever goes has got to post all the "dirty" details

Can't find 'other parts of Belize', can ya help a girl out?

This is a HUGE website! Lots of great info...

Malibu, we are with you. We get there the 9th. Lobsterfest is only the first weekend so we will miss out. But I'm told there should be plenty of lobster around AC. Last time we were there it was out of season. That really sucked.

Malibu: John Boy is correct. On the front page of this message board are 5 message areas. One of them is called "About Other Areas of Belize." In that area is a thread on the Caye Caulker Lobsterfest. But, Knowell is correct. Lobsterfest is only for that first week-end!

Lady Sharon is doing a cruise to the lobster fest Sarurday and Sunday for those that want to arrive dry and have a good time going to Caye Caulker and back. She leaves her dock a 10: A.M. both days and returns at 4:00 P.M. The cost is $50.00 BZ. round trip and there will be a cash bar. Sounds like the way to go to enjoy the Lobster Fest. and enjoy a party over and back in comfort.
