Hey CC, who pissed in your Cheerios? I expressed an opinion based on personal experience.

Have to agree with KWIBMF, don't waste your time going to the Blue Hole to snorkel. It was not worth it. Yes there is coral, but hardly any fish and a constant fight against the current. We also snorkeled at the second stop, but nothing amazing there either. Could see the same thing much closer to AC. Boat ride is a nightmare too - very long, bumpy ride.

No one pissed in my breakfast, it just irritates me when people talk out of their arse.

If you have experienced it then your opinion is what this board is all about, as per CruisinTiggers' point. I disagree with them but that was their experience and so a valid post.

If you are guessing or assuming what good is your opinion. Now I might be wrong but when using the terms "seems like" and "I doubt" it sounds like you haven't experienced it and if so you don't have a clue, so why guess. Thats all.

I took the trip to Lamanai with Daniel of Tanesha Ecotours Tours in June. We took a rather large group with us and everyone LOVED it. We were there for 2 weeks and (other than the wedding smile ) it was the highlight of the trip. The day was long - but the trip was really enjoyable. Daniel did an excellent job of pointing out a lot of information about different animals, trees, etc that we saw along the way. I would definitely recommend it.
--By the way-- We had my mom (who has has arthritis) and my two six months pregnant sister-in-laws along and they all really enjoyed the trip.

I've done quite a bit of diving in Belize over the past 10 years, including the BH. As I said, my opinion was based on personal experience.

Based on recent, personal snorkeling experience... If your budget isn't tight, I say definitely go to the Blue Hole. Take Bonine. Worth the trip, as is Half Moon - usually on the same day excursion. Live colorful coral, lots of fish... No current - the coral makes the center of the hole pretty flat. I got incredible underwater pix there due to lack of movement. There is no comparison between local snorkeling around AC and out at Lighthouse Atoll.
