Is the building of this property affecting the peace and quiet of VH? ALso, how are the Cabana's at VH, I've heard they need some TLC?

MSO,
I just returned from AC, we stayed in a cabana at the VH. To the best of my assessment, (See "Bug Question" dated 8/2/04) I got the bug bites there. As for the rest of the stay there, It was great. If I were to go back to the VH, I would try one of the inside suites / rooms. ( And a lot more OFF, especially at night!) The service was first rate, the overall appeal is quite nice, however the only dinner that we had there was somewhat disappointing given the price. I enjoyed the breakfast menu better. As for the building next to the VH, we never noticed any problems only in that that if you were to go for a walk along the shore, you will notice the abrupt difference in the well coifed sand of the VH from surrounding properties. <g>
Enjoy,
Mark F.

The casitas at VH are being renovated one by one. Not that they were ever bad, but they are getting even more spectacular (french doors, etc)!

I don't know what's going to happen with the property next to (just south of) Victoria House. The little jammed up casitas are ridiculous! They look like DFC housing with thatch roofs. There are a lot of rumors going around the island about what will happen there -- casino, etc. I'm sure the resident local observers know more than I do about it. But I'm afraid it doesn't bode well for VH.

It's really far from VH and won't have any effect. There are a number of big estates and houses in between.

Even with all the rumors swirling about,I think maybe it is just an ill concieved idea. Too bad because it is such a beautiful property.

Jesse,

It's really not far from VH and their villa additions. For those who want to see, I'll try to post a photo shortly.

They have had ads in the local papers looking for a resort manager that speaks Hebrew and has a connection to the Isreali tourist market. Thurston and I are helping Paisano fine tune his resume for the position.
