I went diving recently with Protech in Ambergris Caye and they're excellent. Top-notch instruction (I got my Nitrox certification) and equipment (in fact, just the quality of their equipment sets them apart from other shops). Everyone was professional, accomodating and friendly, and very service-oriented.... Plus, what a fun bunch to dive with! I highly recommend them. Definitely check them out when you're there, or send them an e-mail prior to your vacation; I did and got lots of valuable info. Have fun!

Sounds like Junior, Adolfo, Brian and Bondi took care of you. Those guys are the best. Glad to hear you had a good experience.

Glad you had a great experience too, Robert...yes, they all took great care of me, and I just want to add I'll never forget Yutta--she was great to dive with!, and, extremely knowledgable. Taught me a lot.

Pro-Tech is great - my father has been diving with them for the past 4 years; this year I joined him and earned my certification as well as some additional class time with Roni, Junior, Adolfo and Brian. They were very safety-conscious, making sure everyone understood the dive plans and helping acclimate new divers to the reef and the rules. Equipment was top-notch; they replace it every 3 months and it was comfortable and operated flawlessly. Looking forward to returning next June for another couple weeks of diving with them!

I recently emailed Pro-Tech about setting up a trip. I heard nothing for two weeks. When I emailed them that I had heard very good things about their dive shop but had heard nothing in two weeks, I would be going with Amigos Del Mar. I received a very nasty email from Pro-Tech sayng that since I considered two weeks without a reply "intallerable" maybe I should find someone else to dive with. Amigos Del Mar responced to every email within 24 hours. After the responce and treatemnt I received from Pro-Tech, I would never recommned diving with Pro-Tech.

HI202, kind of curious how your father could have been diving with them the last 4 years when they haven't been opened for more than 2 years.

I was kinda curious about that myself, losbuenos . . .

Maybe some of the individuals with Pro-Tech worked for other dive operators prior to Pro-Tech's inception and that's what the writer meant.
